Award
Selection Criteria
The Award is open to young contemporary art practitioners between 25 and 35 years. Candidates are shortlisted by four Award nominators coming from museums, universities, art publishers and cultural institutions specialized in contemporary art.
The four Award nominators are from Luxembourg and the surrounding Greater Region. Each of them selects up to three candidates who then will be submitted to an international jury composed of three members.
The members of the jury are nominated by the Board of the Edward Steichen Award Luxembourg. They are selected amongst the ranks of renowned art historians, curators, critics, art gallery owners and artists. Following the general aim of creating cross-cultural links, the jury will comprise one member from a US cultural institution, one from Luxembourg or the Greater Region and one from another European country.
